The Weary World Rejoices

The city workers began putting up the Christmas decorations on the morning of Nov 12th. The pretty twinkling lights help to brighten up the dark nights. Does the darkness seem a little darker this year? Listening to the news is difficult. We are living in a world wearied by ongoing wars in Ukraine and the Middle East, a world wearied by natural disasters: floods, wildfires, famines, earthquakes; a world wearied by illness, poverty, homelessness, and loneliness. Can a weary world still rejoice? Yes, we can, for God is with us. Advent is the season of waiting and watching for signs of His coming bringing hope, peace, joy and love. Join us this Advent, as together we wait and watch with anticipation and expectation.
