We have all heard of the Book of Acts. But “the acts” of what or who? The Acts of the Holy Spirit? The Holy Spirit certainly plays a leading role, especially during Pentecost. The Acts of the Church? The church seems to be “born” during this period and grows, often exponentially, and daily. The Acts of Paul? In Acts, we are introduced to the one who has been called the most prominent and influential missionary the world has ever known and author of nearly half of the New Testament. Or maybe we discover it’s all three, as we read and listen again to Luke’s second volume. Whatever the title, “The Book of Acts” is not simply an ancient story but an invitation to see the same Spirit moving within the church and in us.
Beginning in September and continuing through to Easter, we invite you to read along with us, a chapter from Acts each week (with a few diversions into Luke's other book, “The Gospel of Luke”) and consider joining us for one of our mid-week small groups either Tuesday nite (7-8pm) or Thursday morning. (10-11am). Come and see that something is happening.
