The Knot All Knitters group is an outreach Ministry which provides hand-crafted articles to bring care and comfort to others for various life events. Initially a Prayer Shawl Ministry, it now includes many other projects. As the name implies, our projects extend far beyond knitting.
You are welcome to join us during our Saturday morning meetings as we work on individual projects and share Christian support. Our meetings are held approximately every two weeks.
Or, you may prefer, as others in our congregation do, to work independently or in small groups and then share your creations with us which we then use to comfort others. These items are provided to the Zion Community as well as the greater Charlottetown community.
Patterns for various projects are available. If you are new to knitting or crocheting, there are members who are happy to help you get started.
Our Projects include:
Prayer Shawl Ministry
Prayer Shawls are gifted to members in our Church Family and other people following surgery or undergoing treatment in hospital or at home. Sometimes they are provided for those who experience loss or others who need prayers or the love of friends who deliver some of our gifts and offer prayers.
Lap Quilts/Lap Throws
The lap quilts are available for adults and babies and are distributed in a similar way as the Shawls.
Baby Blankets Premie and Baby Hats
Baby blankets and quilts are gifted to babies at birth, baptism or in the event of an illness. The hats are delivered to the QEH Nursery.
Cast Toe Socks
Toe soaks are useful in winter to help warm the toes of the Casted foot. The socks are delivered to QEH for the Orthopaedic Clinic.
Annual Mitten Drive
The Annual Mitten drive is embraced by the entire Church Family. With the donation of mittens from many in our congregation approximately 200-250 pairs of mittens are distributed to various groups in Charlottetown where mittens are needed and appreciated.
Please join us on a Saturday morning. The meeting times are in the bulletin and on the website.
