Reading and Prayer – March 2

1 Corinthians 1:1-3

Paul, called to be an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, and our brother Sosthenes,

To the church of God in Corinth, to those sanctified in Christ Jesus and called to be his holy people, together with all those everywhere who call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ—their Lord and ours:

Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

We give you thanks, God our Father, for bringing us together as one people in Jesus Christ. Throughout our province, country and world, we are bound together as one – one Lord, one Church, one Faith, one Baptism – united in our love and service of God, and in our calling upon the name of Jesus as Saviour and Lord. May we, and all who bear the name Christian, live each day with determination and intent to reflect the words and deeds of Jesus to all whom we meet, in all we say, and in all we do. Amen.
