Reading and Prayer – February 22

Romans 16:1-2

I commend to you our sister Phoebe, a deacon of the church in Cenchreae. I ask you to receive her in the Lord in a way worthy of his people and to give her any help she may need from you, for she has been the benefactor of many people, including me.

Father, we give you thanks for the ministry you have entrusted to us, of sharing the Good News of your love, the story of your Son, Jesus, and how our lives have been changed by following him. We thank you that we do not serve you by ourselves, but that you have given us men and women as leaders, as teachers, as co-workers, as friends. Help us to work together in ways that make a difference in the lives of others, and spreads the knowledge of you throughout our world. Amen.
