Knot All Knitters
Knot All Knitters is an outreach Ministry for the Zion Community as well as the greater Charlottetown Community. The group, founded in 2010, comprises 10-12 individuals who meet approximately every two weeks. This is a welcoming group that offers Christian support to one another. Members knit, crochet and quilt while producing items related to a number of projects.
Our Projects are :
Prayer Shawl Ministry
Prayer shawls are gifted to members in our church family or others who are identified to our group. For example, some following surgery or undergoing treatment in hospital or at home, some who experience loss or others who who need prayers or the love of friends who deliver some of our gifts and offer prayers.
Lap Quilts/Lap Throws
Lap quilts are available for adults and babies and are distributed in a similar way as the shawls.
Baby Blankets Premie and Baby Hats
Baby blankets or baby quilts are gifted to babies at birth, baptism or in the event of an illness. The hats are delivered to the QEH Nursery.
Cast Toe Socks
The Toe socks are useful in winter to help warm toes of the casted foot. The socks are delivered to QEH for the Orthopedic Clinic.
Annual Mitten Drive
The Annual Mitten drive is organized in partnership with the congregation. It is embraced by the entire church family. We generally collect and distribute approximately 200-250 pairs of mittens to various groups in Charlottetown where mittens are needed and appreciated.
This open group welcomes all who may be interested in working as part of KAK group or who may prefer to work independently and help with our projects. All are welcome. Please contact Dana Rollwage or Flo Bell, co-Leaders of the KAK Group. We can be reached through the Church Office.
