Psalm 134 is the prayer of my heart – looking towards the day when once again we can gather together in Zion’s sanctuary to praise God, and bring God’s blessing to the world.
1 Praise the Lord, all you servants of the Lord
who minister by night in the house of the Lord.
2 Lift up your hands in the sanctuary
and praise the Lord.
3 May the Lord bless you from Zion,
he who is the Maker of heaven and earth.
Lord God, we thank you for our church.
As it has been here for us, may it be a help to others.
Help us, with Your Spirit, to make Zion Presbyterian Church a place
where the lonely find friendship, where the discouraged find joy
where the worried find comfort, where the confused find direction
where the doubting find faith, where the troubled find forgiveness
where the sick find courage and healing,
where the grieving find hope and peace
and where all might find Jesus.
May we, as your servants and as your children,
find joy and purpose through your Word and fulfillment as we serve others.
May our lives reflect the life of Christ,
As we reach out to others with your Word and with your love.
Bless us with your Spirit
and may this church be joined with the church universal
in giving you our thanks and praise.
