Daily Reading and Prayer – Saturday, August 8
This is it – this marks the end of our journey of daily readings through all 150 Psalms! The Psalms were written and collected over a period of around 500 years, and for the final Psalm, those who put it all together thought they could do no better than Psalm 150 – and I can’t disagree.
Next week, our daily readings and prayers will continue with the Book of Proverbs. But for now –
Psalm 150!
1 Praise the Lord.
Praise God in his sanctuary;
praise him in his mighty heavens.
2 Praise him for his acts of power;
praise him for his surpassing greatness.
3 Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet,
praise him with the harp and lyre,
4 praise him with timbrel and dancing,
praise him with the strings and pipe,
5 praise him with the clash of cymbals,
praise him with resounding cymbals.
6 Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.
Praise the Lord!
Prayer
A song! “Praise God From Whom All Blessings Flow” – but I’ll bet you’ve never heard it like this!
