Daily Reading and Prayer submitted by Kelley MacQueen

Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.

Mark 9:23 And Jesus said to him, “‘If you can… All things are possible for one who believes.”

1 Corinthians 12:8-10– To one person the Spirit gives the ability to give wise advice, to another the same Spirit gives a message of special knowledge. The same Spirit gives great faith to another, and to someone else the one Spirit gives the gift of healing. He gives one person the power to perform miracles, and another the ability to prophesy. He gives someone else the ability to discern whether a message is from the Spirit of God or from another spirit. Still another person is given the ability to speak in unknown languages, while another is given the ability to interpret what is being said.

What amazing scriptures to dwell on!
Especially all things are possible…what a wonderful world we can imagine even while going through hard times.

Prayer:

Dear God, As we move through our lives, please remind us that you are always with us to help us with all the situations we encounter.  Not all situations are positive or comfortable but with your love and guidance, we can be safe and we are looked after in love.  I thank you for the special gifts you have given me and the gifts you have given to others which draws us closer in Christ.  I thank you for my family and for our extended families and pray that they remain healthy & strong in the months and years ahead.  I pray God that my children grow in knowledge of the love you have for them and are never far from you in thought and action.  Thank you for your Grace.  And thank you for the Spirit of Your Son Jesus Christ, Amen.
