Well, Zion Zoomers, we are down to the last few days and things are really coming together! For those who are walking with the group on Saturday, February 20th – our start time is at 6:00pm! We will be meeting at Central Christian Church and the doors will be open 30 minutes before our start time, so you can arrive anytime between 5:30pm – 6:00pm. It will give you a chance to be warm and pick up your hat! I am hoping that perhaps we can get a group picture! We’ll see!Masks are required indoors unless you are drinking water etc. and are not required outdoors for the event. Prepackaged food will be made available at the rest stop (2km walkers) on the walk and for those doing the 5K walk, your prepackaged food will be available at the end of your walk. Thank you so much to everyone who assisted with the Zion Zoomers in all areas – walking, donating, online promotion, audiovisual, and prayers! You will all be with us Saturday night as we walk for Harvest House! God bless!
Coldest Night of the Year – Start Time!!
The Zion Zoomers walkers registered start time to walk on Saturday, February 20th is 6:00pm!! I will post in a couple of days the full details of the walking event!! Mark your calendars!!
Well, it’s that time of the year again, it’s time for the Coldest Night of the Year on February 20th! This will be the third year for our Zion Zoomers team!
If you would like to join the team again or if you are interested in joining us for the first time, you can register online through the Coldest Night of the Year website at cnoy.org. Good News – the registration fee has been eliminated!
Here on PEI, we are blessed to be one of the few places that can participate in this event in person. Each team will be assigned a different time to walk the route during the afternoon so there will be proper social distancing of groups. There will be food available, however, it will be prepackaged to be taken home to enjoy! Proper COVID safety precautions are in place!
If you are inspired to donate to this event, you can donate directly online at cnoy.org and click the donate button, search out Zion Zoomers and donate to the team or you can choose to donate to a team member directly as well. There are different Zion groups so make sure you find Zion Zoomers!
If you would prefer to make a donation via cash or cheque, you are encouraged to leave that donation at the church office with Dianne and Kathy Lynn ensures they will be delivered to the Coldest Night of the Year Head Office. Please make sure that you include with your donation your full name, complete mailing address and email address if possible. Coldest Night of the Year has asked for your email address preferably so they can issue a tax receipt via email because it saves them time, money and resources. Tax receipts are available for donations for $20 or more and cheques are to be made payable to – Coldest Night of the Year.
